You are cordially invited to play in a ''Forgotten Realms'' and ''Planescape'' hybrid campaign, The Broken Cycle.

== Scheduling ==

We'll be meeting on Sundays, on average every other week.

== Campaign Background ==

This adventure begins in 1372 DR, six months after the events of [[The Journey to Respite]].

All party members will start in [[Ironjaw's Mirth]] (see map on this page).

It's a tavern at the center of a small village of the same namesake. 

The village is located on the border of Thay and Rashemen, on the Rashemi side, and serves travelers passing through in either direction.

By default, party members will not know each other unless players decide to be acquainted in advance.

== Character Creation ==

* Starting level is 1.

* D&D Books: You can access D&D books via my [[https://www.dndbeyond.com/ D&D Beyond]] account -- you'll get a link with an invite. Feel free to request access to additional books if the one you want is missing.
* Races: You many play any race in any published product, including conversions from older editions. This is a ''Planescape'' campaign.
** If you choose a character whose origin is not from the Prime Material Plane, reach out to me so we can work on your background and how you got to Faerûn.
* Classes: You may play any class in any published product, including conversions from older editions.
* Background: Please have a basic backstory for why your character is in this area. Being a stereotypical treasure hunter is fine -- adventuring bands are common in this part of the world.
