Summary
With Vaergath and Aunrae fallen, the party explored the hidden drow hideout—a two-room lair revealing Aunrae's betrayal of both Tharos and the duergar. Among Zurkhwood furniture and alchemical gear, they uncovered a coded letter to Deeplord Sobja, a teleportation circle rigged to strand ogres in the Black Gloam, and thousands in Thayan and drow-minted coin. A priceless Scroll of Resurrection and faerzress crystals added to their haul, while Octavius cracked the letter's cipher, exposing Aunrae's web of deceit.
As they secured the Monolith of Stars, Lilia encountered the owl-shaped Telthor, who, waning like the Monolith, merged with her spirit in a quiet pact, granting her a new Starry Form. Meanwhile, a brutal debate ended with Octavius executing Aunrae while the others were away—leaving only blood and silence when they returned.
Flying the Monolith back to Urlingwood atop a floating disk, the party dodged ropers and broke through to daylight, greeted by a growing Rashemi force. The wychlaran sisters anchored the Monolith within the grove, restoring its twilight, and warned of shattered divinations—fate itself veering off-course. Grimsnarl, the awakened dire wolf, offered thanks and promised the party a voice in granting Lilia's grove access to the grove.
Now in pursuit of Lilia's lost coven sister, the party made their way east. Among the High Country hills, the party found a shattered Raumathari seal—its dark power offering Octavius forbidden gifts in exchange for strength. As tendrils pierced his chest, he accepted twice, gaining intellect and losing strength. When the seal fully broke, Threxzadur, a monstrous glabrezu, rose from the ruins. Offering dark pacts and mocking their resolve, the demon turned to walk free—until the party, grim-faced, moved to stop him.

Things That Happened
Encounter: Threxzadur, the Raumathari Weapon
- Date: 17th of Tarsakh (The Claw of the Storms, April), late afternoon, 1372 DR
- Prepared for their assault, Threxzadur cast a prepared spell, blanketing the area around him roiling abyssal darkness.
- Highlights (the encounter took 2.5 real time hours):
- Lilia dispelling the darkness with Dispel Magic, causing it to fall away into star dust, only for the Demon to recast it moments later.
- Glenn, with Unit 137 and Smokescale to guide his sword arm, charging into the spherical darkness, along with Diedric.
- Diedric immediately being grapped by demonic pincers and pummelled into the ground repeatedly.
- Glenn finding his rhythm in the darkness, landing cut and cut on the beast with his air blade.
- Unit 137 trying in vain to free Diedric.
- The creature uttering Draz'hul in Abyssal, causing Lilia to become frozen for most of the fight.
- Octavius taking to the sky and bombarding the area with miniature blazing suns.
- Octavius attempting to hurl a piece of the broken seal into the darkness, only for it to be dodged.
- Diedric healing himself and conjuring a spiritual owl to claw at the fiend.
- Diedric being downed.
- Smokescale and Unit 137 being killed and unsummoned.
- With a scream, Lilia finally breaking out of the stun and dispelling magic to reveal a very bloodied glabezu, being clawed apart by a spirit owl and Glenn.
- Lilia uttering a healing word -- causing Diedric to rise and to summon a shroud of spirit owls.
- Together with a upcast guiding bolt, the glabrezu's head was destroyed, and the rest of its body collapsed into a dark ichor.
Catching Their Breath
- Octavius landed, congratulating the party on a job well done.
- Lilia asked him not to enter into any future dubious deals.
- Diedric convinced him that he saw a tunnel of light while near death.
- Octavius pointed out that they both caused and solved a disaster.
- Octavius indicated an interest in other seals.
- He interpreted some comments to mean that they would be annihilating the local goblin population.
- The party short-rested, with Diedric blessing them with Selune's protection.
The Elephant In The Plan
- Date: 17th of Tarsakh (The Claw of the Storms, April), early evening, 1372 DR
- The party discussed goblins (their appreciation for cruelty and ruinious nature) and white dragons (which are the most primal and value their own survival above all -- they like to show off skulls of beasts they've killed).
- Lilia conjured a bat familiar (Thistle), who hung from her hat.
- She sent Thistle north, looking through its eyes.
- She saw an expansive rocky terrain with dozens of goblin camps and bonfires. They're in celebration.
- A shaman at once camp raised his staff, speaking.
- "Hear me! The White Wyrm, Kissethkashaan— he’s older than our worthless lives. We give him flesh, and he leaves our bones uncracked. Remember this: keep feeding the beast—or become his feast."
- "Tonight we celebrate the tribute! Drink deep! The great wyrm soon gets fresh meat—let her screams tickle his ears! The Nanraak tribe is strong! The Nanraak tribe is forever!"
- The party devised a plan to polymorph Thistle into an elephant, and to offer it in trade for the coven sister.
Vix is's Smart
- Walking up to a vantage point, Diedric noticed a small boulder that appeared painted.
- Vix, a tiny white scaled kobold, revealed himself to be wearing a large, painted tortoise shell.
- He explained that he's from the Tekun tribe to the south, and that he steals "shinies" from the goblins to gift to the Great Wyrm.
- Kobolds gift shinies, whereas the goblins gift meat.
- He's most interested in the "biggest shiny", which is King Nanraak's fur-lined helm, and that he knew their patrols.
- The party said they would give him a gold coin if he waited here for them.
- The party began proceeding downhill, polymorphing their bat into an elephant.
- It seemed confused, feeling its own face with its trunk, but began to enjoy its form, running downhill with Glenn and Diedric on its carpet-covered back.
Five Star Wanted Level
- The goblin camp immediately began sounding war drums and trumpets as they visibily mobilized and moved to a defensive position on that side of the camp.
- A bugbear (Brug) wearing a spiked helm bearing a troll's head trotted up the hill to the party.
- He explained that they have ONE RULE and that it's no outsiders, and waited for their explanation.
- The party explained that they wanted to trade the elephant for the coven sister.
- The party watched as the bugbear ran for 20 minutes straight to an encampment on a mesa (shouting "NO KILL"), and eventually returned with goblins riding ice spiders.
- Dozens of goblinoids parted to allow the ice spider entourage to pass through.
- One goblin dismounted, wearing a fur-lined Tuigan helm and matching armor and shortswords. He seemed older than the other goblins.
King Nanraak
- The party began to negotiate with the King of the Nanraak tribe, offering the elephant in exchange for the coven witch.
- Appearing sincere, the king offered for the party to join him at his camp to make the exchange.
- The party resisted, which irritated him.
- He touched his helm and commanded Diedric to bow, twice. He resisted both times.
- With the elephant minutes from returning to its bat form, the party began to move it away.
- With one last ditch effort, the party offered 200 gold pieces.
- The goblin refused and all parties went in opposite directions.
- The session ended as the party began returning to Vix and their Plan B - a stealth mission.

- Look, just because I value lore accuracy does not mean that I need to keep including white beverages in the campaign.
- It's not very compatible with this party.
