  • Vurt, Nelu, and Mira met with Stedd the trader in Mirabar, and after celebrating the Feast of the Moon, ventured north to Respite.
  • Nelu and Mira established that they had celebrated together during the Feast of the Moon.
  • On the journey, Stedd and Mira spoke about their histories. Stedd comes from Luskan, has two children, and has been a trader most of his life. He gave the impression that he likes to get away from his family and travel alone.
  • On the road, the party was waylaid by three wandering gibberlings, which were quickly dispatched, mostly by Vurt’s axe. (Mira helped.)
  • The party met and tipped the stableboy Horn, with Mira insisting that he take very good care of her horse. (Very good care.)
  • Inside, the party spoke with Hadrin and Andrin. It was discovered that Respite had mustered a small force recently, which failed to overtake the kobolds. The kobolds seemed too prepared, and Hadrin was suspicious.
  • The party was informed that the injured were being cared for in the Mayor's House.
  • Hadrin and Andrinn recommended setting out in the morning, as kobolds abhor light.
  • The party was warned of Eadol, the overtall, morningstar wielding kobold, and Kurikkik, their leader and sorcerer.
  • Arvenne the innkeeper made a request to the party: return her fallen husband's (Randal) locket to her. It is in a shape of a moon, which matches her crescent locket.
  • Arvenne had a negative reaction to Vurt's heartless response.
  • Arvenne had a positive reaction to Nelu's caring response.
  • Rooms were offered for the night as recompense.
  • Rooms were offered in perpetuity if the locket is brought back.
  • A meal of stale bread and cheese was had.
  • Party proceeded to the Mayor's House and spoke to Eadol's victim, Orl, after Nelu healed him to consciousness.
  • Strong favorable reaction to Nelu.
  • The healed man, Orl, left for his farm, promising they were always welcome.
  • The party spoke with the priestess Talindra, who recounted her dream of Kurikkik, tearing off his red scales and screeching at a starless sky.
  • Nelu noticed a brief, scornful look from Talindra directed at the injured. She shared her suspicions with Mira.
  • The priestess offered her blessing. Nelu and Mira noped out. Vurt accepted it.
  • Storm and Edward were introduced to one another. Storm restrained herself from consuming Edward.
  • As Edward squawked the party awake, the smell of cooking wafted from downstairs.
