Main Quest: Seeking Navarra

• The Rebel Wizard: Galdren Murendar, a rebel Red Wizard, seeks to undermine Thay to reform it. To this end, he has tasked the party with finding Navarra, a deceased ally. He seeks to reunite her spirit with her captured memories so he can find a way into the Fell Tower, in the Plains of Purple Dust, which is rumored to house a powerful weapon.
• The Spirit Seeker: The party is currently tracking Vistra, a Spirit Seeker, in order to find Navarra's spirit. She is in Karasuthra in the Beastlands.
• Andren's Ledger: Vistra is currently tracking the spirit of Andren, a man who betrayed his friend Tovaal in a failed attempt to save his family. She is on a contract from the Mercykillers.

Side Quests

• Hunting the Slavers: Imzel Ulmokina, the druid that freed the party from captivity, was last heard to have been following the rest of the slave wagons, tracking them to their destination.
• Lake Mulsantir: The lake south of Lirensk still suffers from Red Wizards having introduced aberrations in a past skirmish with the Rashemi.
• The Phaulkon-bane: The clone of Manshoon who had assailed Glenn's keep is known to be heading for Chult, using the funds he made to hire the priests of Ubtao to transfer his soul to another body before this one fails him.
• Walking the Paths: The party has learned of many paths (at least six) that can be tread to ascend the hierarchy of Mount Celestia. They need make a pledge to a representative of a Power to start their journey and may be asked to make a sacrifice. Upon walking the path, they will gain +2 to a chosen attribute.
• Namers and Berks: Party members may seek to further their standing with their preferred Sigil faction, which may grant special abilities and privileges.
• The Monolith of Stars: Still safe, it invites academic and divination study.
• The Elfmound: Drenn, the drow wizard spared at Phaulkon Manor, spoke of a Permanency spell and other Netherese magics he found at The Elfmound.

Party Member Paths

• The Planeswalker: Octavius's planeswalker spark ignited and his fastbond to lands he visits continues to increase his power, collecting fragments of planes to revisit them more easily. He seeks to write a dissertation on the extinct Batrachi race, and has a Weave-Attuned Sextant ready to deliver to a Slaad in Sigil who is interested in its study, as he feels it may draw a connection between the Batrachi race and all Slaad.
• A Curse Turned Boon: Glenn embraced his frog form as his curse was cured, gaining the ability to "wield it as a shield" as his father taught him. He idly joked that he should "start collecting curses".
• Favored of Selune: Blessed by the Moon Goddess for his leading of the lost, Diedric has been named Favored. This connection may continue to grow.
• Touched by a Telthor: Having served as a host for the Telthor of Stars, Lilia can now conjure its constellation around her. As she continues to study stars from other planes, she may grow to understand the strange ones in the night sky above the Monolith, as they do not match that of Faerun's. She has secured access to the Grove of Stars for her coven-sisters, who may relocate once Elowen reaches them with the news.
• The Caltrop's Covenant: Unit 137 continues to show more Hellish influence, including the ability to summon Happy, a tortured lemure, and sporting a pentagram inscribed on his form. In exchange for his infernal immortality, Unit 137 has incurred a debt to the hells and will need to serve them for 666 days at some point in the future.
• The Piked Contract: Smokescale battles with the philosophy of being indentured to a bunch of piking level-headed bloods. Do his chains even matter anymore? His speaking circle truth was "I really want to corrupt the owl, drag him down to my level".

Prior Party Members

• The Star of the Climbing Warrior: Uchu Buredo, in company of Cedani, continues to seek a way to his home world of Tsunadehoshi. His lead is that a "Vine-Warrior" was spotted in The Velvet Harness by the pegasus Kai. (God the DM did a lot of worldbuilding for this shit.) He also seeks revenge on Vex'riath, the githyanki creche leader of Zar'kash's Forge, who also escaped and survived as that spelljammer ship was destroyed by Uchu's psionic awakening.
• Smoke on the Water: Cedani, having received an urgent message from Soveliss, sought to rescue him from peril. He had been on the way to Evermeet to seek Tharos's true name and had asked of Cedani for a delivery of a scale from a white abishai before being captured by unknown assailants. Diedric (during a session he missed) assisted them, rescuing him from a Troll's cookpot by trading a useless bauble. Cedani and Uchu then proceeded to the Feywild, where her patron had called for a meeting of the seasons in response to her poetry shop being burned down by the summer eladrin Aula. Octavius had subsequently seen visions of Cedani and Uchu in Minauros, being surrounded by hags and the corpses of dead eladrin of various seasons. Uchu's eyes turned red.
• The Pursued and Pursuer: Chai evades cultists pursuing her for her Changeling heritage. She accompanies Cove to the Sea of Fallen Stars, where she seeks to find the prison island that she escaped as a child.

Pending

• The High Diviner: Tharos Orakul, deprived of the Monolith, continues to suffer from a wasting disease. In desperation, he has met with the Githyanki.
• The Foreseen Assault Octavius foresaw an attack on the monolith by Kissethkashaan, likely in the month of Flamerule (two months after Mirtul). The vision showed one faerzress crystal already shattered, two wychlaran triplets freezing and shattering, and the Monolith cracking with a yellow light emanating from the crack, hinting at something within. This was shared with Galdren, who said he'd warn the Rashemi, so they should be forewarned.
• Hilt's Reward: In thanks for the party's aid in getting Xarannos to represent him in his accusation against Zelza, he told them that Fredd, a proprietor of The Shaved Coin in The Below, keeps a chest of rubies that they both gathered by using a portal to a mineral-rich pocket of the Elemental Plane of Earth. This portal lies below the fighting pits and the key is blood, so it's usually open. Hilt is also a senator of Ribcage now.
• A Wedding on the Wind: The party will be invited to Ember and Zekir al-Suhail's wedding. They'll hear his voice in the wind. A greater boon was promised. This will be in two years during his coronation.
• The Writer: Atrus, an author of Ages, seeks to write a linking book to a location that can cure any ailment, including Glenn's. This may take him until the month of Kythorn. He had granted the party a linking book labeled "Myst", which they could use to visit him. The tram code is half of the clocktower's set time.
• The Bewildered Horse: Barnaby, the awakened horse, was not at the Velvet Harness the last two visits. Barnaby will return.
• The Nyaning Leonin: Rescued from certain doom on Mirrodin, Shadespine has run off to the Rashemi Berserker Lodge to join them.
• The Coven and the Monolith Lilia's coven will soon make way for the Grove of Stars to study it and the Monolith. They owe Lilia for this opportunity, and for rescuing Elowen.
• The Swordmaster's Road Cyrus, Glenn's swordmaster, will likely have been teleported to the War Wizards of Cormyr by Galdren's teleportation circle. He'll make way to Glenn's old keep to see it restored.

• (Averted) The Diviner's Prize: Tharos Orakul's eyes staring at Octavius as he touches the Monolith inside of a grand tower. This diversion shattered divination implements across Faerun.
• (Happened) The Convergence of Seasons: Cedani and three other eladrin — Summer, Spring, and Autumn — navigating a bog as dark shapes surround them.
• (Future) The Blue Fire Falls: Blue fire crisscrossing the sky, lines burning as Faerûn screams.

• (Happened) Ten Seconds From Now: An ogre crashing through the trees, charging at Octavius as he turns from facing the Monolith… ten seconds from now.
• (Future) Winter Comes to the Grove: The Grove of Stars. Kissethkashaan, enraged, breathes a cone of cold in a sweeping pass. One of the faerzress crystals is already shattered. Two wychlaran triplets shatter to ice. The Monolith of Stars begins to crack under the cold — and a yellow light emanates from a large crack, implying something within.
• (Happened) The Red Rage: Uchu and Cedani stand back-to-back in a bog beneath a dark fey sky as three hags approach from all sides. Dead eladrin of various seasons are scattered around them, sinking. Uchu looks to Cedani, who nods grimly. His glowing blue eyes and blue daggers turn red and he begins howling in a berserker rage.
• (Happened) The Lich-Queen's Audience: Hovering in the Astral Plane: a bald Red Wizard, Tharos Orakul, bowing and coughing blood as a colossal undead githyanki woman sits on a throne, examining her hand, projecting boredom while failing to conceal a glint in her eye. She notices Octavius before the vision fades.
• (Future) The Chorus of Stones: B'ian Ch'k Ch'k kneels shirtless inside of a low wagon as dozens of sending stones begin vibrating all at once, voices whispering and shouting in various languages. He turns as he hears screaming outside.

B'ian Fact Facts

• In 1368 DR, B'ian Ch'k Ch'k hid inside a Candlekeep bookshelf during the doppelganger purge in the wake of the Bhaalspawn.

Consequences

• The Mirth of the Ironjaws: With Hulmarra Ironjaw's death, and the burning of Ironjaw's Mirth, her surviving 11 sisters are likely to have heard of the events by now.
• The Charmed Guard: Thenn, the Thayan guard charmed during the escape from the Red Wizard wagons, was taken as prisoner by Imzel. He now lives as a servant to a woman in the Grove of Stars that is foreseen to be his wife. It's an awkward relationship.
• The Grand Concordance: Aristeus, a mathematician culturally spending his last days in the Astral Plane, was aided by the party who recovered a variable for him from a memory entity. His allowed him to complete a masterwork that describes the Four Compulsions and the Veil. It seems of important scientific and philosophical importance.
• The Silver Skiff: Vlaakith grows irked by the unanswered theft, three fireballed githyanki, a lost apprentice, the loss of Gaath's ambush team, with one of the apprentices banished and being specifically told to "Tell Vlaakith to leave us alone!". Octavius's vision of an ill Tharos Orakul groveling before her may be of greater import however.
• The Lost Githyanki: Viran, apprentice of Kith'rak Gaath, was led astray by the Alley Reapers in his pursuit of the party and is likely imprisoned in the plane of Carceri.
• The Doomed Noble: The sickly noble on a balcony in Ribcage is probably super, super dead by now. He's been replaced by a younger noble, flanked by the same red and green cambion ladies.
• A Hag Remembers: The Moss Hag's scheme to secure souls with Luciel foiled, she set a trap whilst Luciel fled the city.
• The Alley Reapers: They believe Cedani is an agent for a person named Boppel, the "high-up man". They were paying her a cut of their take in the Hive Ward. While she's no longer with the party, they will consider them associates.
• Yan-C-in-the-Bin: Yan-C-Bin will not soon forget the defeat of his avatar at the hands of interlopers from the Prime Material Plane.
• The Djinn Prince: Rescued from a sacrifial rite, the Prince gifted the party a Carpet of Flying and promised great gifts on his wedding day.
• The Kobold Pilgrimage: Spared by Diedric, kobolds worshipping Yan-C-Bin fled back to their tempestuous homeworld, now guided by a familiar moon goddess.
• The Telthor of Stars: Diviners clashed and Tharos was robbed of his fate of securing the Monolith of Stars via a route in the Underdark. The Telthor still lives within, watching over the Rashemi as their tribes unite to select a new Iron Lord. Grimsnarl, an awakened wolf, invited the party's voices in selecting the next Iron Lord as the lodges gather. His own pick: "a simpleton, but his dajemma is legendary -- he travels still with the child of Bhaal on the Sword Coast."
• The Drow Wizardress: Murdered by Octavius, Aunrae Drezz'Lynur was freelancing while under the guise of serving Matron Zorratha. In reality, she was playing Tharos and the duergar against each other. Matron Zorratha wonders what came of the Monolith.
• The Unpaid Duergar: Expecting a payment for pick-up and delivery of the Monolith of Stars, the duergar just found an empty battleground and their gold missing.
• The Breaking of Threxzadur: Octavius willingly drank of a trapped tanar'ri's power, freeing it and then defeating it. It will be reborn in the Abyss.
• Eight-legged Freedom: Freed from their bonds, the goblin's infant ice spiders traveled north, to the icy mountain from which their eggs were stolen.
• Vix's Crown: Sneaking through a sprawling goblin country, the party helped Vix the white kobold steal a Tuigan Helm of Command from the goblin leader.
• The Surviving Crossbowman: Erik the eye-patched crossbowman was rescued from freezing to death by the party. He has foresworn adventuring and claims to be retiring.
• The Blood Sorceress: Qualm and the rest of the dragon slaying party perished in Kissethkashaan's lair. The party happily looted them.
• The Rescued Coven-sister: Elowen Stonereach, an offering of blood to the white dragon by the Nanraak Goblins, was rescued and whisked away. She makes way to the Dalelands to meet with her coven, who will likely travel to The Monolith of Stars to study it.
• The White Wyrm's Due: Angered by the previous dragonslaying party's attempt on his life and another party escaping with his tribute, Kissethkashaan plots his revenge, remembering that one of the members of the first group was of Rashemi descent.
• The Piked Halfling: Finn Fatfoot was charmed into giving up his dreamsilk and giving up Zhentarim secrets. He is on the run from authorities.
• The Cleansing of Hullack Forest: A mindflayer cell, which had fled something in the Underdark, was eliminated by the party. Glenn (with the help of Shrieker) also drove the Zhentarim from his family's keep and had his curse removed. Drenn, the drow wizard in charge of this Zhentarim compound, gave the party information as to Manshoon's plans in Chuult in exchange for his life.
• Shrieker: Glenn's father's Ranger General of his armies continues to patrol the region around Thunderstone, bringing justice to those that the Purple Dragon Knights cannot. Her shrieks in the night bring comfort to children and woe to brigrands. A Tuigan woman mentioned seeing her on the battlefield when Cormyr fought in an alliance against the Tuigan horde, referring to her as Glenn's father's "paramour" who saved him from an ambush. She can be summoned by lighting two pyres on the northern towers near the bridge to Hullack Forest.
• The Silver Blade: Kith'rak Gaath had his entire githyanki strike force ambushed the party but were defeated. Gaath retreated, but had to leave his sword behind.
• Blessed Grains: Lilia blessed the fields of the Tuigan people in an extended ritual, ensuring a bountiful harvest.
• The Imaskari Altar: The party fought through sahuagin priests and destroyed an ancient Imaskari Altar that could animate undead thanks to a link to the Plane of Negative Energy.
• Peace on the Endless Wastes: Peace was brokered between the Fankiang Traditionalists and Hubadai Loyalists, with the Fankiang receiving a seven year deal where they would patrol and tax the Golden Way. The Fankiang agreed to assist with Thay, and the Hubadai representative said he would bring it before their leader in Kourmira.
• The Justice of Hoar: The head of Qara Sarn, a Fankiang member who attempted to leave Khan Borcha to her death, was served to Hoar as recompense for the slaying of one of his paladins. He accepted with three thunderstrikes, and Lureene Amblecrown assured that they had secured the Hoar Order's aid against Thay.
• Ribcage, Under New Management: Uncovering Zelza's scheme to plunge Ribcage into the Nine Hells, Xarannos was installed as interim Duke of Ribcage. Zelza was consumed by Bel.
• The Third Hell's Door: A portal to the third layer of the Nine Hells is now publicly known and guarded in the Beetle Bazaar. It's near a woman's burned-down shop. Don't say your favorite color.
• A Hag Still Remembers: The Moss Hag swam through the mire of Minauros, fleeing as the party survived her trap, stole her soul coins, and even freed her Catoblepas. She may yet seek revenge or move on to safer prey.
• Tessavyr's Debt: A rilmani, pinned to the earth by infernal spikes placed by a circle of succubi working for Zelza, thanked the party for its freedom, stating that they just need call its name toward the Spire should they ever need aid.

Curiosities

• The Unpowered Golem: This still sits abandoned in the flooded depths of the Imaskari Tomb. The party also looted an Anti-Divinity Orb from the same location.
• The Unnamed Scholar: The party looted the body of a female ghoul scholar with a bronze circlet, stuffing her into their Bag of Holding for later Speak-with-Dead questioning. They then proceeded to forget about it.
• The Bronze Rib: A Bronze Rib in Minauros proves to be a foil to teleportation magic, although it did not look easy to move.
• Aunrae's Spellbook: Aside from the Teleportation Circle spell, the dead drow's spellbook also had a loose sheet of sigils for all ten Undrek'Thoz drow-city states and the duergar city of Fraaszummdin.
• The Ring: Galdren asked Diedric if Azhar, Diedric's adopted father and financier of his estate, still bore a ring with gemstones, and how many there were. Diedric confirmed there were two rubies with one inset blank. Galdren looked relieved.
• The Time-Skip Doppelganger: Investigating a darkness at the heart of Thay, Galden and Navarra traced it to a doppelganger impersonating an Aglarond noble, and mid-interrogation they experienced a skip in time (candles instantly burned low) and the doppelganger was disintegrated to ash.
• The Interventionist Deva: Zariel seemed like the crankiest out of the bunch at the Pavilion of Courage.

The Story So Far

Chapter 1: Memory

A group of diverse adventurers, each on their own path, found themselves at Ironjaw's Mirth on the Thay-Rashemen border. Their chance meeting was interrupted by the Red Wizards of Thay, led by Vezim Sepret, who captured everyone in retaliation for losses at the Grove of Stars.

Now mired in the conflict between Thay and Rashemen and en route to a slave camp, the party escaped with aid from Imzel Ulmokina, a Wychlaran druid. A letter on Vezim revealed orders from Tharos Orakul, High Diviner of Surthay, to slay "the owl" and capture "the amphibian" for study.

Imzel directed them to Lirensk to meet Galdren Murendar, an ally against the Red Wizards. After a perilous journey across Lake Mulsantir, where they battled quippergulls and a Gelatinous Cube, they met Galdren, a rebel Red Wizard working to reform Thay. He tasked them with acquiring a Grand Sensory Stone from Sigil, the City of Doors, casting their souls into the Astral Plane.

In the Astral Plane, they helped a mathematician retrieve a variable stolen by a benign memory entity. Then, they escaped githyanki pursuers through a color pool to The Outlands -- after stealing their silver. Guided by a kind bariaur's words, they journeyed towards Sigil, encountering various planar entities (including water-sharing petitioners, imps, and a Rogue Modron) and ultimately reached Ribcage, the gate-town to the Nine Hells.

In Ribcage, they engaged in various intrigues: upgrading a Rogue Modron with infernal silver, binding an imp into servitude with the help of a slaad advocate, aiding a falsely accused man, uncovering a cambion's scheme with a hag, and participating in a Blood War skirmish. They finally found passage to Sigil beneath a bar stool.

In Sigil, they discovered Cedani's grandmother's ruined poetry shop and defeated the Summer Eladrin responsible. After recovering from near-death, they met with faction representatives and negotiated with Niara, a Sensate Factotum, for a Grand Sensory Stone in exchange for locating Ember.

Their search brought them to The Velvet Harness inn, where a pegasus and deva led them to a vortex to the Elemental Plane of Air. There, they survived a harrowing fall with Ember's help, learning to navigate a realm where direction is a matter of perception. They landed in the courtyard of the Palace of the Winds, a majestic djinn stronghold.

There, they agreed to help rescue a trapped djinn from the clutches of kobolds, defeating the Avatar of Yan-C-Bin.

Victorious, they returned to Sigil, and acquired the Grand Sensory Stone at last. Joining factions and receiving pay from The Alley Reapers, they returned to their bodies in The Rebel Estate.

Grateful, Galdren rewarded them with vast sums of jink, a Weave-attuned sextant, and explained that he planned to use the stone to capture the memories of a deceased person who has information invaluable to their cause.

He bid the heroes rest, for now.

Chapter 2: Convergence

Returning from their astral journey with the Grand Sensory Stone, the party awoke at The Rebel Estate to visions of Tharos Orakul warning Octavius away from Thay. Cedani departed for the Feywild, while Lilia Corydalis, a starry witch seeking her missing coven sister, joined the group.

Sent to Urlingwood to cure Glenn's curse, the Wychlaran declared the barbs needed to be removed where they were cast. At the Monolith of Stars, visions of fractured futures preceded a goblinoid assault. In the chaos, Octavius's latent planeswalker spark ignited, pulling them through the Blind Eternities to Mirrodin before willing them home.

Pursuing the stolen Monolith into the Underdark, they uncovered drow treachery, slew the ogre assassin Vaergath, and returned the relic to Urlingwood—shattering divination tools across the continent. In the High Country, they freed and destroyed the demon Threxzadur, then rescued Elowen Stonereach from the maw of Kissethkashaan, the White Wyrm, escaping through another desperate planeswalk.

In Cormyr, they infiltrated Phaulkon Manor, battled illithid in Hullack Forest, and finally broke Glenn's curse where Manshoon had cast it. Glenn emerged transformed, embracing both his nobility and his frog nature. Githyanki seekers arrived and were driven off; Kith'rak Gaath fled without his silver blade.

Flying east to the Endless Wastes, they joined a paladin's quest for vengeance among warring Tuigan tribes. Beneath the Lake of Mists, they destroyed an Imaskari altar of reanimation, collapsing its undead horde. The treacherous Qara Sarn's head became tribute to Hoar, securing both tribes and the paladin order as allies.

Galdren revealed his purpose: capturing the memories of Navarra, an ally slain by Tharos who knew of a weapon in the Fell Tower in a desert of purple sands. At her grave, his ritual bound her memories into the Grand Sensory Stone. He charged the heroes to carry it into the Outer Planes, find her spirit, and deliver it—with Ember and her broken blue-tinted mask as their guides.

Bearing orb and mask into the Astral Plane and out through the Turquoise Color Pool, they crossed a reshaped Outlands and the orchards of Sheela Peryroyl. Within sight of Ribcage they freed Tessavyr, a rilmani pinned to the roadside by infernal spikes, who named a favor owed and bid them call toward the Spire.

In the city, Glenn's cheerful shout of "Green!" spoke the key to a hidden portal, dropping the party into Minauros, where The Moss Hag loosed a dire troll in revenge for her ruined schemes. They shattered it, plundered her lair of thirty-three soul coins, and burned her shop on their return.

Xarannos now ruled Ribcage, Zelza having been eaten by Bel. Unit 137's hellfire freed three innocent souls from the hag's coins. Passing to Sigil through the stool at The Bleeding Horn, Diedric was pulled aside to stand before Selûne as the kobolds of The Howling Island reached home at last, and was named Favored. Ember sent them beneath the Cage to find the spirit-seeker Vistra Runehall.

Her trail led through Vos'Ultok to the deva Galenthias, who carried them to Lunia, where the pit lord Sulphaxus rose from the holy waters mortal and redeemed. At the Pavilion of Courage they learned Vistra hunts the spectre of a carpenter who betrayed a rebel to save a family he lost anyway. Through Khorvas's Pool they swam into Karasuthra, the eternal midnight of the Beastlands, a day and a half behind her.
