(Known) Active Plot Threads
- The Rebel Wizard: Galdren, a rebel red wizard, works against Tharos Orakul, the High Diviner of Surthay responsible for your capture at Ironjaw’s Mirth, with grand plans to overthrow and change Thay.
- The Githyanki Student: Viran is still chasing the party. He was led astray to Carceri, where he may just die.
- The Alley Reapers: They believe Cedani is an agent for a person named Boppel. They are paying her a cut of their take in the Hive Ward.
- The Sun Elf Bard: A bard of the school of names, he is travelling to Evermeet to learn more about Tharos, and seeks the scale of a white abishai.
- The Vengeance Paladin: Lureene Amblecrown rides to her order in The Endless Wastes, to ask their aid against the Thayans who captured her.
- The Charmed Guard: Imzel, the druid who rescued the party, had the man who was charmed by Chai, Thenn, taken as prisoner by her people.
- The Other Captives: Imzel continued to pursue the rest of the Red Wizard wagons, tracking where they have taken the other villagers.
- Lake Mulsantir: The lake is still likely plagued by quippergulls and other abominations created by the Red Wizards. Since it’s gotten bad enough on the southern shore to drive out entire villages, time will tell what else may happen.
- The Mirth of the Ironjaws: There are 11 other Ironjaw sisters still living. Word about what has happened to their younger sister Hulmarra will likely have reached them by now.
- The Dismissive Hummingbird: Still in the Feywild, he wonders if Cedani survived her fall, then decides it doesn’t matter.
- Upheaval in Ribcage: What were the consequences of the party uncovering Zelza Zurkbane’s plans for Ribcage? Will Xarannos succeed in his legal defense of Hilt? And what of Luciel and The Moss Hag now that their scheme was uncovered?
- Uchu’s Master: Vex’riath, the creche leader of Zar’kash’s Forge, survived its destruction in wildspace and escaped just as Uchu did in a Void Seed. He’s still out there somewhere. And what of the other simian, the Vine-Warrior of Tsunadehoshi, who sought others like himself?
- The Doomed Noble: The sickly noble on a balcony in Ribcage is probably super, super dead by now.
- The Writer: Atrus, the man who could describe a world and then reach it through a Linking Book, said he would attempt to write a location that could cure Glenn of his illness, but that it would take him several months.
- The Kobold Pilgrimage: Led by their one-winged leader after fleeing The Howling Island, a tribe of kobolds settles in the foothills of a mountain that was once their home, in a land that has quieted since their last departure. They huddle around a bonfire at night, looking toward their leader for guidance. The twin moons glow in the sky as the shaman traces a holy symbol in the dirt — the one he had seen on Diedric’s shield.
- A new sparkling mote of light appears between the two moons — their first tear of Selûne.
The Story So Far
Chapter 1: Memory
A group of diverse adventurers, each on their own path, found themselves at Ironjaw's Mirth on the Thay-Rashemen border. Their chance meeting was interrupted by the Red Wizards of Thay, led by Vezim Sepret, who captured everyone in retaliation for losses at the Grove of Stars.
Now mired in the conflict between Thay and Rashemen and en route to a slave camp, the party escaped with aid from Imzel Ulmokina, a Wychlaran druid. A letter on Vezim revealed orders from Tharos Orakul, High Diviner of Surthay, to slay "the owl" and capture "the amphibian" for study.
Imzel directed them to Lirensk to meet Galdren Murendar, an ally against the Red Wizards. After a perilous journey across Lake Mulsantir, where they battled quippergulls and a Gelatinous Cube, they met Galdren, a rebel Red Wizard working to reform Thay. He tasked them with acquiring a Grand Sensory Stone from Sigil, the City of Doors, casting their souls into the Astral Plane.
In the Astral Plane, they helped a mathematician retrieve a variable stolen by a benign memory entity. Then, they escaped githyanki pursuers through a color pool to The Outlands -- after stealing their silver. Guided by a kind bariaur's words, they journeyed towards Sigil, encountering various planar entities (including water-sharing petitioners, imps, and a Rogue Modron) and ultimately reached Ribcage, the gate-town to the Nine Hells.
In Ribcage, they engaged in various intrigues: upgrading a Rogue Modron with infernal silver, binding an imp into servitude with the help of a slaad advocate, aiding a falsely accused man, uncovering a cambion's scheme with a hag, and participating in a Blood War skirmish. They finally found passage to Sigil beneath a bar stool.
In Sigil, they discovered Cedani's grandmother's ruined poetry shop and defeated the Summer Eladrin responsible. After recovering from near-death, they met with faction representatives and negotiated with Niara, a Sensate Factotum, for a Grand Sensory Stone in exchange for locating Ember.
Their search brought them to The Velvet Harness inn, where a pegasus and deva led them to a vortex to the Elemental Plane of Air. There, they survived a harrowing fall with Ember's help, learning to navigate a realm where direction is a matter of perception. They landed in the courtyard of the Palace of the Winds, a majestic djinn stronghold.
There, they agreed to help rescue a trapped djinn from the clutches of kobolds, defeating the Avatar of Yan-C-Bin.
Victorious, they returned to Sigil, and acquired the Grand Sensory Stone at last. Joining factions and receiving pay from The Alley Reapers, they returned to their bodies in The Rebel Estate.
Grateful, Galdren rewarded them with vast sums of jink, a Weave-attuned sextant, and explained that he planned to use the stone to capture the memories of a deceased person who has information invaluable to their cause.
He bid the heroes rest, for now.
